H10 Itaca, Barcelona

We arrived at Barcelona airport late evening . Taxi from airport was around 50 euros. Had we realised how close to the Sants Station the Hotel is we may have taken the train . Pleasant hotel, not much of interest nearby so we took the hop on hop off tourist bus from Sants Station . Breakfast offered a good selection of hot and cold food. We didn’t try the restaurant, preferring to dine in the city. Rooms are clean, but small. Our room had just a bed and small cupboard with no hanging space long enough for dresses.there were no surfaces to put anything and no space to even lay our suitcases flat. For this reason I would not recommend for anything more than a brief stay.

Very good hotel, clean quiet rooms. Ask for room higher up overlooking back. Road at front busy and noisy. No noise from other rooms and air conditioning worked well. It was hot weather in September. Comfy bed and nice bathroom . Lots of toiletries in bathroom, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner, hand lotion, toothbrushes etc. Good shower over bath. Tea/coffee tray. Breakfast good choice and all the food gets topped up even towards the end of service. We like being near Sants Station, easy to use the train and metro and buy a ticket for 10 rides for 11 euros, a bargain.

We stayed before and after a cruise and all the staff were very helpful at all times of day and night with all our requests. The rooms are nice and so is the food. Good location for a base to explore.

I have great things to say about this hotel. First, the positive: the staff is wonderful! From the front desk to housekeeping to maintenance; they were very helpful (calling taxis, having our room ready early, responding to a non-working telephone in our room) etc. The room was clean and comfortable. Minor negative: one day, we returned to find we had not received housekeeping (no, we had not left the "do not disturb" sign on our door). Housekeeping responded within five minutes to put our room in order. If you're a fan of espresso, you will LOVE the coffeemaker in the room! Same promptness with maintenance: our phone was not working, they dispatched someone right away to fix it. The in-room bathroom amenities are very nice. The buffet breakfast is excellent although we did not partake every day as it is not included in your stay. The location of the hotel is OK if you do not mind a lot of walking or taking a taxi to your destination(s). Overall, a great stay, due mostly to the excellent staff.

What a convenient hotel; literally a 5 minute walk from the Barcelona Sants train station. Upon our arrival, we were greeted professionally and friendly. Our room request location was honored with no problem and the room was very clean, modern, with nice amenities; coffee, tea, etc. We were given a voucher for a free cocktail and we took advantage of it. All the servers and the bartender were very nice. There’s a patio with a plunge pool and nice tables where you can have a drink or order food. The bar itself also had indoor tables. Now to the breakfast; very clean with a variety and good choices. The person in charge was always making sure things were replenished. We especially liked the fried eggs and the little baguettes; so good. We were a little distance from Las Ramblas and rest of sights, but there’s a metro close by. However, we opted for taxis if it was too far to walk. Taxis were not expensive and so convenient. Loved everything about this hotel experience! When in Barcelona, this will be our go to hotel.
