Rome
The Eternal City is a unique place where the remains of a magnificent past merge with the peculiar character of its people. Our hotel in Rome is located in the area of the Trastevere.
Trastevere
The Trastevere is the ideal place to stroll along the colourful side streets, plazas and vast gardens like Julius Caesar’s, where it seems that Cleopatra once lived. In ancient times, the craftsmen, fishermen and merchants lived here, and today it is one of the most characteristic neighbourhoods of the city, where the guests of our Rome hotel can walk around and gaze at the sights.
The Coliseum and the Roman Forum
The Coliseum is a real Roman architectural wonder, with capacity for 60,000 spectators, and a symbol of the famous fights of gladiators and wild beasts. The Forum was the centre of political, religious and commercial activities in ancient Rome. If you stay at our hotel in Rome, don’t miss the Via Sacra that crossed through the zone and was home to religious processions and triumphal parades.
Piazza Navona and Fontana di Trevi
During your stay at our hotel in Rome, take time to visit the Baroque artwork. The Piazza Navona is one of the typical plazas of Baroque Rome, with its café terraces always full. It is the site of the fountain of the Four Rivers, where the giants of the times are represented: the Plata River, the Danube, the Ganges and the Nile. And visitors must not forget to toss the celebrated coin into the water of the Trevi Fountain to assure that one day they will return to the Eternal City, where they will always have a place to stay at our hotel in Rome.
Plaza de España
The plaza of Spain, with its large flight of steps, has always been a meeting place not only for Romans but also for visitors and foreign artists. Don’t miss the chance to visit it if you come to our hotel in Rome. Branching off from the plaza are some of the most prestigious streets, such as the Via Condotti, full of international fashion stores.
Vatican
If you come to our hotel in Rome, don’t miss the opportunity to visit this state which has been independent since 1929, built on the spot where Saint Peter suffered martyrdom and was buried. In the IVth century A.D., Constantine, the first Christian emperor, built with Bramante, Michelangelo and Maderno a splendid basilica that was successively rebuilt until its consecration in 1626.
Saint Peter’s Basilica
No photographer has been able to capture the impact that visitors feel before the magnificence of the building, the splendour of its decoration, the works of art it houses, such as the dome by Michelangelo, and the great Saint Peter’s Square. Whether you come to our hotel in Rome for pleasure or for spiritual reasons, you must not miss this basilica.
The Vatican Museums
Any stay at our hotel in Rome is a good opportunity to enjoy the art and culture of the city. The result of centuries of collecting and papal commissions, the museums include pieces of Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Etruscan and Renaissance art, such as the frescos of the Sistine Chapel.
Sant’Angelo Castle
The Via della Conciliazionetakes you to Sant'Angelo’s Castle, fort of popes, built in the Middle Ages over the remains of the tomb of the emperor Adriano (IInd century A.D). Close to the area of the Trastevere, we suggest you walk around its neighbourhoods and finish your stroll at our hotel in Rome; the best time of the day for this is at dusk.
