Punta Cana
When Columbus first set eyes on the coral decked coast of the Dominican Republic, he declared it to be the most beautiful land under the sun. And today the vast Bávaro beach still emerges from a jungle of mangrove swamps and majestic coconut palms. It is an invitation to delight and enjoy its waters, where privileged nature and hospitality are perfectly integrated to fill your holiday with unforgettable moments.
Activities for all the family
Its peaceful, protected beaches are perfect for water activities such as diving. Punta Cana is famous for its European-style hotels, traditional craft markets and characteristic shops. Several high-quality golf courses are also on hand.
Revitalisation for mind and body
Bávaro beach is a place for reinvigorating one’s mind and body: mile after mile of silky soft white sand and deserted beaches with coconut palms. The resorts, located by the sea, offer an all-in service and cater for activities that are fun for families and couples alike.
The Southeastern region
The Southeastern region has a number of areas of interest, such as Boca Chica, a fishing village with shallow water and delightful restaurants and cafés. Not far away from La Romana port is Catalina Island, a special gem. Moving on along the coast we find the typical fishing village of Bayahibe, the National Park of the East, and Saona Island.
The climate
The Dominican Republic has tropical temperatures all year round, with little fluctuation between the two periods of the year – winter and summer.
